Longicorn ID is limited taxonomically to adult forms of cerambycoid beetles (families: Cerambycidae, Disteniidae, Oxypeltidae, and Vesperidae), a large group of wood boring beetles with an estimated 4,000 genera and 35,000 described species worldwide. Longicorn ID, edition 2 contains an identification key to the tribes within the subfamily Lamiinae, edition 3 contains an identification key to the tribes of Cerambycinae and Lepturinae. The tool was funded by USDA APHIS PPQ and Farm Bill 10201.
